The Heat improved to 38-21 with the win, while the Lakers fell to 29-30.
Butler's Big Night
Butler was the catalyst for the Heat's victory on Monday night. He scored 15 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter, including a key three-pointer with 2:30 remaining that gave the Heat a 109-102 lead.
Butler also played excellent defense on James, limiting him to just 7-of-22 shooting from the field.
Adebayo's Double-Double
Adebayo was another key contributor for the Heat on Monday night. He recorded his 21st double-double of the season with 23 points and 14 rebounds.
Adebayo was also a force on the defensive end, blocking three shots and altering several others.
Herro's Bench Production
Herro provided a much-needed spark off the bench for the Heat on Monday night. He scored 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting, including 4-of-8 from three-point range.
Herro's scoring helped the Heat build a double-digit lead in the second quarter, and he continued to hit big shots throughout the game.
Lakers' Struggles Continue
The Lakers have now lost four of their last five games, and their playoff hopes are fading fast.
James and Davis are still playing at a high level, but the rest of the Lakers' roster has struggled to contribute consistently.
The Lakers will need to find a way to get more production from their role players if they want to make a run at the playoffs.
