Australia's Test captain Pat Cummins has said that he expects the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India to be a "50-50" contest. Cummins, who will be leading Australia in Tests for the first time in India, said that the hosts will be a tough challenge, especially in their home conditions.

Cummins also said that he is looking forward to the challenge of captaining Australia in India. "It's a huge honor to captain Australia in any series, but to do it in India is something special," Cummins said. "I'm really looking forward to the challenge."

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy will begin on February 9 in Nagpur. Australia will be looking to retain the trophy, which they won in 2020-21.
