Notre Dame Lacrosse Victorious Over Maryland in NCAA Tournament Final

Irish Cruise to 15-5 Victory

Kavanagh Brothers Shine for Notre Dame

PHILADELPHIA - Notre Dame is a win away from repeating as NCAA men's lacrosse champions after a convincing 15-5 victory over No. 7 seed Maryland on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.

Chris Kavanagh led the way for the Fighting Irish with five goals, while his brother Pat added six assists. Eric Malever also contributed with a goal and an assist in the victory.

Notre Dame dominated the game from the start, taking an early 5-1 lead and never looking back. The Fighting Irish defense held Maryland to just five goals, while their offense was firing on all cylinders.

This is Notre Dame's second national championship in three years. The Fighting Irish also won the title in 2018.

Maryland falls to 4-12 all-time in championship games. The Terrapins have not won a national championship since 1975.
